So here they are - the pictures of my recently set-up sewing room. I used to sew in the kitchen - at the end of the room which made being in the middle of all the activity easy, but the mess traveled. There were always threads on the floors and on us. You knew who had been to visit because they were plucking threads from their sweaters.
I love the green in this room. The bookcases used to hold books, but now, stuff. The closet has yet to be tackled - those are the little girls aprons hanging in there and the cool black dress I put on the mannequin - great display thrift store find - very early 50's.
All that wool? Also a thrift store find - 25 cents a skein for hand spun wool. Yep. Husband found it on one of his expeditions. Those little chests are all buttons. They fit on that shelf perfectly. Within the next two months it will look different. It feels so odd - My room. Wow.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world. If you look at my archives, last October I did a post called Dishes, Dishes Everywhere and showed all the different dish patterns that I have.
I enjoyed seeing your new space :) g
Oh, my goodness - I'm just hyperventilating looking at your sewing room. What I wouldn't give to be locked up in there all alone for a week!
oooh...I love your sewing room...looks like mine! I love being organized....sick, I know.
I'm adding your blog to my site of neat blogs to check out....if not okay, email me and I'll remove you.....
